Girls living in the Tonsley vicinity can enjoy a play session shared with their father (or father-figure, grandfather, uncle, brother) to help strengthen their bond.
Girls of between five and seventeen can join a play session with a significant male adult in their lives (over 18s only). The initiative is arranged by Play Our Way, which is funded by the government as a means of getting more girls and women interested in sport and physical activity. Sonder is responsible for the program, a not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting health goals since the 1990s in South Australia.
There will be lots of different activities to try out during the session, allowing a connection through teamwork. The overarching theme is having fun and building special relationships and enjoyment through movement, cooperation and enthusiasm.
Brochure printing is one of the ways in which local establishments use in order to advertise events widely within a community.
The Dads and Daughters: Move and Play is taking place at Cosgrove Hall, 40-50 York Avenue, in nearby Clovelly Park, on Friday 16th January, from 10.30am until 11.15am. The session is free but it is necessary to register a place. Each adult can be responsible for no more than two children. Each person attending should wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.
