Young Australian singer/songwriter to play in Milton
Indie youngster Ruby Fields is starting to make her mark as she plays at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall in Milton in March, as part of an eleven-venue tour.
Fields grew up listening to the music of AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses and Fleetwood Mac, in Cronolla, New South Wales. Songwriting at eleven and busking at 13, she was also well-versed in repairing musical equipment, having learnt from a family friend.
Since 2016, Fields has been performing with band members Patrick Rogers (drums), Tas Wilson (bass guitar) and Adam Newling (lead guitar). The debut album, Been Doin’ It for a Bit, was released in September 2021, and reached the top of the ARIA Charts. Songs from the album will likely feature on the evening, as will the single 92 Purebred.
With a following of almost 70,000, Fields is a popular performer with a social conscience, as $1 from the sale of each ticket will go towards indigenous care and education with thriving, holistic and nurturing Kulai Pre-School Aboriginal Corporation.
