A market event bringing a taste of Poland to Milton is set to return next month with the Polonia Market Day.
The event promises to continue its celebration of food and culture, fostering a community connection for the inner city district.
More than just a simple shopping event, the December market is a celebration of Polish heritage that everyone can experience. Bringing a slice of Polish culture to inner city Brisbane, visitors can expect a variety of Polish food and drink, baked goods, crafts and a beer garden. Additionally, both The Polonia Restaurant and the Polish Library will be open for the event.
Based on past events, the Polonia Market Day is known for offering a mix of traditional cuisine, artisan stalls and an atmosphere that supports Milton’s inner-city character. December’s event will be particularly festive, utilising the timing to combine Polish Christmas traditions with a friendly community gathering.
For such an event, organisers often use flyer printing to help spread the word of the event ahead of time, helping to attract newcomers to the event.
The Polonia Market Day will open its doors on Saturday, December 13 at the Polish Club from 9 am to 1 pm. The club is based at 10 Marie Street in Milton. It will be an opportunity not just to make those with Polish heritage feel at home, but it will also allow others to experience Polish culture and learn something new before the end of the year.
