A theatre in Milton will put on a show for children, performed by children, this year that is based on a beloved story from a famous Danish author.
Parents in the area on the hunt for family-friendly entertainment can attend this upcoming play. The production is designed especially for kids and is called “Honk! JR”. It will be on stage in the suburb this winter and is performed by a young cast.
Presented by community theatre group Milton Follies, the show will shine a spotlight on the abilities of local children aged between seven and 15 who have been in rehearsals since February.
Local theatre groups often depend on professional Print shops for well-designed programmes for the plays and musicals they put on.
The production draws inspiration from the tale of “The Ugly Duckling” by Denmark’s renowned storyteller, Hans Christian Anderson. Remembered most for his fairy tales, Anderson wrote 156 stories that have since been translated into over 100 languages and have formed the basis of many musicals, plays, ballets, animations and motion pictures. His other popular titles include “The Snow Queen”, "The Emperor's New Clothes", "The Princess and the Pea" and "The Little Mermaid".
Honk! JR will now be on stage at Milton Theatre from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 21. The local performing arts theatre is based at 69 Princes Highway in Milton.Get a Free Quote for Print
