Alecia Beth Moore Hart, also known as Pink, released her first solo album in 2000. Her second album, Missundaztood, was released a year later, proving to be equally popular and containing hits such as Get The Party Started and Just Like a Pill.
Her latest album, Trustfall, reached number two on the American Billboard chart in 2023.
Known for her raspy voice, Pink has been compared to singer-songwriter Janis Joplin, who is said to be one of her idols. Also formative in Pink’s history is her admiration of Madonna:
“Madonna has always been an inspiration for me…I was a fan right from the first time I heard Holiday”.
With her androgynous style and desire to speak out on issues that concern her, Pink is often viewed by her fans and critics as a trail blazer.
