Inhabitants of Milton and further afield are invited to join London Grammar on its much-awaited return to Australian shores after COVID-19 derailed original plans.
Supporting the release of its third album, Californian Soil, which was released last year, London Grammar is performing a small international tour with most of the dates being played in Australia, before the band goes on to support Coldplay later this year in London, Berlin and Paris.
London Grammar consists of Dan Rothman, Hannah Reid and ‘Dot’ Major. The trio met in 2009 at Nottingham University, UK. After university, the friends moved to London (from where Dan and Hannah hail) and quickly found the attention of record companies who were drawn by the indie nature and ethereal sound of the threesome; Reid’s vocals have been compared to those of Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) and Judy Tzuke.
The latest two albums have gone to Number 1 in the UK album chart. In the Brit Awards this year, the group was nominated in the Best Group category. Concerts such as this rely on the expertise of local printing outfits for impeccable graphic and Logo Design so that merchandise is of high quality.
London Grammar is appearing on May 31, from 5:30 to 8:30pm, at Riverstage, 59 Gardens Point Road, Brisbane City. Tickets start at $99.
