Rock band to make noise at Suncorp Stadium
Fans of rock music in the Milton area might wish to buy tickets for heavyweights Guns N’ Roses when the band plays at the Suncorp Stadium in November.
Formed in 1985, the band released its debut album Appetite for Destruction two years later. Popular tracks on the album include Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child o’ Mine, the latter being the band’s only song to get to number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album has sold over thirty million copies around the world and is considered one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. Lead singer Axl Rose is also considered one of the greatest singers of all time (Rolling Stone magazine, 2012).
Current band members, apart from Rose, include Duff McKagan and Slash, who were all present at the inception of the band. They are joined by Richard Fortus (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Dizzy Reed with Melissa Reese (keyboards). Tour promoters often rely on local businesses to produce promotional products that are available as merchandise for fans at the concert venues.
Guns N’ Roses is appearing on Tuesday November 22, at 7pm until 10pm at the Suncorp Stadium, 40 Castlemaine Street in Milton, Queensland. Tickets cost from $99. The band is supported by special guests The Chats and Cosmic Psychos.
