Plant-heavy meal to delight not only vegans

Vegans (and all those with a healthy attitude to eating plants) in the Milton area will be served well by a fine six-course feast at Mongrel in June. To match the colourful food on offer, flyer printing is likely to incorporate bold graphic design to catch the attention of foodies in the region.

We all know that a more heavily plant-based diet is better for us, the planet and our wallets. Even sworn meat-eaters can reap huge health benefits by piling on the vegetables alongside the protein.

Mongrel is hosting a vegan feast where local, seasonal vegetables and salad will take centre stage. The provenance of the food is equally important, so the carefully selected producers will hold true to the core values of quality and sustainability.

Mongrel is a relaxed, open-sided venue that many hip people in the Milton area enjoy. As well as the bar, it sports a pool table, a cosy den and a very casual vibe, where good food meets interesting drinks with potentially a side-order of country and western or contemporary rock and pop classics.

Plants IV: a vegan degustation at Mongrel, 1/12 Park Road, Milton QLD 4064, takes place on Sunday 18th June, from 6pm until 10.30pm. Tickets cost from $50. Menu to be confirmed nearer the time, depending on seasonality and availability.
