Newstead Brewing Co plans to open new craft brewery in Milton
One of Queensland’s most up and coming craft breweries, the Newstead Brewing Co, is aiming to open up its latest venture in Milton later this year.
With a site chosen opposite Suncorp Stadium and located not far from the Fourex Factory, the owners believe they have found the perfect location for the new craft brewery and 150-seat bistro style restaurant. An open air deck which will face out towards the stadium is expected to be a major attraction for fans attending events at Suncorp.
With final approval from the council and the liquor licensing board expected very soon, co-owner Michael Conrad said:
Milton is becoming a huge hot spot for craft beer microbreweries, pubs and bistros, with Newstead Brewing Co’s new site being located close to The Scratch – an early pioneer in local craft beer pubs – and also to the site of Aether Brewery’s planned brew-hall pub and restaurant.
With the popularity of craft beer continuing to grow and the prime location near to Suncorp Stadium, it is expected that these breweries will also sell a range of promotional products, such as hats, T-shirts and beer glasses.

“Advertising is due to go up this week and work should commence in August. If the moon and stars align, we may pour some beer in December and be brewing full speed in late January, early February.”
