The announcement of the 2015 Multicultural Awards for Business winners will be a highlight of the Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Dinner.
The awards were open to members of the business community, including those from Milton, Queensland, who were from a multicultural background and had made an impressive contribution to the City of Brisbane.
According to a Brisbane City spokesperson, the awards represent a celebration of what multicultural businesses have contributed to the local community and economy through innovation, creativity and resilience.
Nominations which have now closed were received in three categories, including Business Person of the Year, Young Business Person of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.
The ultimate award winner will reap a number of benefits including an opportunity to market their business via Brochures or business card printing to a network of 500 attendees at the Lord Mayor’s Business Dinner and Round Table.
In addition to receiving an award from the Lord Mayor, the winner will also be provided with access to business networks and other opportunities, a chance to be mentored and Invitations to a range of business events planned for the coming year.
The Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Dinner, which will be held on November 6 at City Hall, is a major event that raises funds for the Multicultural Business Development Program. This provides initiatives such as the Business Mentoring Scheme and Scholarship programmes.
