Milton-area festival returns this August

Milton residents can attend the Hidden Lanes Festival this August, which will be held a stone’s throw away in Fortitude Valley.

This is the third time the festival will be held to celebrate The Lanes’ original food, fashion, entertainment and music within Fortitude Valley. Happening over four laneways, Winn, California, Lucky Lane and Bakery, as well as Laruche, The Zoo and Uh Oh Spaghetti-O, the festival will bring attention to the 80 establishments that reside in these lanes.

Attendees can expect to listen to over 50 musicians and visit more than 60 market vendors. Stallholders will be selling art, wine, food, fashion and beauty products. Stationery printers can be used to Print Flyers and Posters to publicise such local community events.

As 2020 was a difficult year for retail, Hidden Lanes Festival is an opportunity for attendees to show their support for local musicians and businesses. The festival is free for all to attend, and it will be family friendly.

Music will be performed by artists that are emerging, such as Drop Legs, Hope One, Juniper Stone and Buttered. DJs will be on-site as well, and the line-up will include artists like Ra, Girls in Hats, Flex Cop and Daddy Olive.

The Hidden Lanes Festival will take place on Saturday, 14th August, starting at 9am and running until midnight. Licensed venues will be provided within the festival, and photo ID is required to purchase any alcohol. The event prohibits attendees from bringing their own alcohol.
