As Mother’s Day approaches, residents of Milton may want to join an event that will provide them with the opportunity to create a gift for their mothers in a “friendly, creative and happy” environment.
The Paint, Sip and Make New Friends workshop has a two-fold purpose. Attendees can produce a beautiful hand-painted wine glass as an extra-special gift for mum on Mother’s Day.
As most people tend to come along on their own, the set-up is such that people are encouraged to mingle and chat. Conversation cards on the tables, which may be provided by local Stationery printers, are used to help the crafters strike up conversations with their neighbours and potential new friends. Games and activities are also a gentle way to encourage rapport and connection.
Everyone is welcome, whether they are a gifted painter or a beginner. The aim for the evening is to provide a convivial space in which to connect and enjoy a crafting activity with good company.
The Paint, Sip and Make New Friends: Mother’s Day Wine Glass Workshop will be taking place on Sunday, 5 May, from 2pm until 5pm.
