Hunters and Collectors set for nationwide tour

Aussie showbiz icons Hunters and Collectors will be kicking off 2014 with their first tour since 1998, and Brisbane fans are already queuing for tickets.

Welcomed into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005, the band is coming out of retirement to perform at a series of A Day on the Green events around the country, and will play at Sirromet Winery in Mt Cotton Road on February 2.

Dedicated followers from Milton to Mooloolaba are expected to attend the concert, which will also feature You Am I, Something for Kate and British India.

The return of Hunters and Collectors to the centre stage has excited fans of all ages and is expected to increase the multi-platinum selling band’s fan base even further.

When they stepped down from live performances in 1998, the band had five top 10 albums featuring classic songs like Throw Your Arms Around Me, When the River Runs Dry, Do You See What I See and Holy Grail.

Generations of music lovers still have promotional materials from the band’s heyday hanging on their walls, ranging from Postcards and Flyers to life-size poster printing memorabilia.

The band members, including Mark Seymour, who continued on in a successful solo career after the break, are keen to get back on the road. Michael Waters, Jack Howard, Doug Falconer, Jeremy Smith, John Archer and Barry Palmer will team up with Mark once again in what has been described as a `long awaited reformation tour’.
