Sheeran has been delighting fans since 2011 when he released his debut album, + (pronounced “Plus”). The following year Sheeran won Brit awards for Best Music Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Following on from +, Sheeran released “Multiply” in 2014, “Divide” in 2017 and “Equals” in 2021. In every case, these albums have topped the pop charts in most major markets.
Sheeran has been around music from an early age – he was described in a school report as a “natural performer”. Michael Cragg of The Guardian writes of him:
