Grant funding chance for Milton community clubs

Milton-based community, cultural or sport and recreational groups with community projects planned for the current financial year are encouraged to apply for grant funding from the Brisbane City Council's Lord Mayor's Community Fund.

The available funding is earmarked to support community events and projects that will help to build stronger and more vibrant communities in the region and projects that align with the council’s Brisbane Community Vision.

The objective of the community vision is to create a safe, friendly, active, clean and vibrant city for its residents.

Every council ward will be allotted $34,000 for projects happening within the area and eligible applications may include fetes and fairs, Australia Day services and events that charge an entrance cost, including fundraisers.

The grant funding may also be awarded to assist with the costs of hiring equipment for a local event, improving community facilities or as assistance with holding community sports activities or with purchasing of equipment.

All projects or events receiving funding are required to credit the Fund. The words “supported by the Lord Mayor's Community Fund” must be used for all Promotional Products including letters, Flyers and Posters.

The minimum grant that can be applied for per organisation is $250, excluding GST, and the maximum amount is $10,000, excluding GST.

For more information about this funding, interested parties should review the funding guidelines on the Brisbane City Council website. The application deadline is 11th June 2021.
