Women from Milton can challenge themselves and raise money for charity at a special celebration of fitness being held in Brisbane.
The Bust a Move event, now in its second year, sees women from across Brisbane come together for six fitness sessions held over the course of one day to support people dealing with breast cancer. Sessions are tailored for different fitness levels and ages, and include dance classes, yoga and aerobics.
Between each session, participants can refuel with the provided food and water, or enjoy some time in the beauty bar.
The day will finish with a session led by Shannan Ponton, a trainer from the television series The Biggest Loser, who acts as the event’s ambassador.
The day could be a fun activity with a group of work colleagues, who could use poster printing to promote their participation and ask for help with the fundraising goal of $1,000 per person.
The money raised will go to Mater Chicks in Pink, a programme that offers women dealing with breast cancer practical support such as counselling and therapies, exercise sessions, cleaning services, and petrol vouchers. Funds also help research into the causes of and treatment for cancer.
The Bust a Move event takes place on Saturday, May 30th at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, and registrations are open now on the Bust a Move website.
