Evening fundraising walk to return

Milton residents can participate in the annual MS Moonlight Walk next month.

For more than 20 years, the MS Moonlight Walk has been raising money to support over 4,000 Queensland residents living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

This year’s walk will take place in Davies Park and will run along the Brisbane River. Participants have the option of joining the three, five or 10-kilometre course. All courses are accessible by wheelchairs. Support on all courses will be provided by volunteers and marshals, and refreshment stations will also be available.

The northern side of the Brisbane River will be dotted with a number of lanterns along the 10-kilometre course, heading in the direction of the Botanic Gardens. After passing the gardens, participants must walk across the Goodwill Bridge, back to the south side of the river and through Southbank Parklands in order to make their way back to Davies Park.

Unlike previous years, participants have the option of walking their own distance within their own neighbourhood. All participants will receive their own lantern. To target a wide audience for charity events like this, it can be useful for organisations to invest in poster printing.

The MS Moonlight Walk will take place on March 26th, starting at 4pm and finishing at approximately 10pm. It will start at the Davies Park Markets, which is located on the corner of Jane Street and Montague Road.
