Contemporary musical comes to Milton

Musical lovers in the Milton area may wish to see The Theory of Relativity musical when it shows for three evenings at the PIP Theatre.

The Theory of Relativity musical was commissioned in Canada in 2012, with music and lyrics being written by Neil Bartram and the accompanying book by Brian Hill.

Bartram and Hill originally set up a meeting with a group of youthful actors to listen to the stories of their lives, touching on relationships, heartbreak, family and home. They then set out to write the musical The Theory of Relativity, exploring and highlighting these universal feelings. By focussing on the anecdotes and emotions, the musical aims to try and show the pervading connection between communities throughout all humankind, no matter what the circumstances.

This belief is ably emphasised by author Johnny Corn, who writes:

“There is more that unites us than divides us.”

The musical initially played to hugely appreciative audiences in Toronto, the US and London. In 2020 and 2021, it was the high school musical that was delivered more than any other. Often, local communities are drawn to a production by the means of local poster printing.

The Theory of Relativity is showing at 7.30pm until 9pm, from 12th until 14th April, at the PIP Theatre, 20 Park Road, Milton, Brisbane, QLD. Tickets cost from $45.
