Colours and crafts on show in Brisbane

Quilting and crafting fans will find plenty of inspiration at one of the country’s largest fairs next month.

There will be more than 100 exhibitors on show ranging from fabric sellers to sewing machine specialists, and there will be something for every type of crafter, including card makers, sewers and doll makers.

During the fair, visitors will also be able to view work by members of Queensland Quilters Inc, and the finalists in the Australasian Quilt Convention challenge.

Some of the most popular parts of the event are the chances to learn new skills at the regular workshops and seminars, and to see the latest equipment on offer for crafters.

There will also be the chance to learn more about mending clothes and updating old outfits for a new look.

While some companies will be offering special deals during the event, catalogue printing will also give visitors the opportunity to take information home with them in case they want to make an order later.

Visitors from Milton don’t have far to go to the fair, which is being held at the Brisbane Convention Centre, and might like to think about using public transport or even walking to the event.

The Craft and Quilting Fair will run from Wednesday, October 8th to Sunday, October 12th from 9am to 5pm each day. Advance tickets can be purchased through the official website.
