Milton residents thinking about setting up their own business can find out more about franchising opportunities in Brisbane next month.
The Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo is being held in the city and will feature more than 50 different exhibitors, from sectors including food, landscaping and delivery services.
The show includes business options for a range of budgets, from small outfits that can be run from home or from a mobile site such as a coffee cart, to larger companies that require a bricks and mortar shop and greater investment.
The franchises will have representatives available to answer questions on the day, and brochure printers will no doubt also have been used to create information packs that visitors can take away to look at in more detail.
Professional organisations, including the Franchise Council of Australia, will also be on hand to answer queries about getting started with a franchise business and the legalities involved. A number of free seminars will be held throughout the weekend to explain more about the business model and talks from successful franchise owners.
The Franchise and Business Opportunities Expo will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th, and will be open from 10am to 5pm. For a full list of exhibitors or to register for tickets, visit the expo website.
