BrisAsia Festival back for 2022

Milton residents will have the opportunity to see Brisbane will light up over February when the BrisAsia Festival returns for its tenth year.

BrisAsia features a programme that celebrates Asian art, culture and cuisine. Running over three weeks and with over 50 events, the festival encourages Brisbane residents and visitors to embrace the city's cultural diversity. This year's theme is “connection through culture”, and it will offer live performances and workshops that will cover an incredible mix of Asian cultures. There will be something for everyone in the 2022 edition, which will feature international artists and outdoor festivals across a range of contemporary and traditional art.

The many events and venues planned mean audiences have a choice and ease of access to the festival. With events all over the city, the entire programme has venues accessible from riverside suburbs like Milton, and events further out in the suburbs such as Darra. The southern suburbs even have their own hip-hop food truck event, “Southside by Night”.

Not-for-profit arts organisations often find poster printing is an economical and effective tool in promoting festivals and events. The not-for-profit organisation Sounds Across Oceans (SAO) will curate the festival for 2022. Established in 2015, SAO promotes diversity and connection between cultures through arts and performance. The official media partner of BrisAsia is SBS.
