Lovers of the written word from Milton will be in their element at the Lifeline Bookfest next month.
The event is the largest second-hand book sale in Brisbane and offers the chance to choose from thousands of pre-loved Books.
With so many Books on sale, the event is divided into different sections and poster printing will help buyers find what they are looking for.
The Books are arranged in different sections according to quality and price, and within each section, there are several categories, including children’s Books, biography, fiction, travel, and health, to make it easier to find a particular interest.
Magazines, CDs, videos, records, and Stationery will also be available during the event.
Volunteers will help buyers find what they want and take payment for Books from each section before visitors move on to the next area.
The money raised helps Lifeline, a scheme operated by the Uniting Care Community, which includes a crisis telephone line, suicide prevention and bereavement support, and disaster recovery.
Anyone who wants to donate Books for the sale can leave them at a Lifeline shop or in one of the charity’s donation bins around the city.
The Bookfest takes place from Saturday, January 17th to Monday, January 26th at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The sale is open from 8.30am to 7.00pm at weekends, and from 10.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Books
