Awards for stormwater projects to be held in Milton
Stormwater Queensland (SQ) will be holding a presentation for its Excellence Awards in Milton this February.
SQ is a non-for-profit organisation that was formed in 1996. The purpose of the association, as per its constitution, is to advocate for effective management of stormwater to deal with flooding, reduce costs of infrastructure required for stormwater, promote best industry standards and represent the stormwater industry as a principal advisory body.
The SQ Awards for Excellence recognise and celebrate excellence displayed within stormwater projects. This is measured via innovation, development, completion and management of the projects.
The upcoming event is set to recognise last year’s stormwater projects, allowing for networking amongst those within the same industry over some beverages. A large number of submissions for the originally planned webinar were made, and the face-to-face event will be able to commemorate project teams’ efforts in a better manner with a larger audience. Making use of business card printing is a great way to ensure that people remember an individual well after a networking opportunity like this.
The event will be at Newstead Brewing located on 67 Castlemaine Street. The event is ticketed, with it being free of cost for SQ members and $22 per person for non-members. Tickets need to be obtained from the Eventbrite website. The SQ Awards for Excellence will take place on Thursday 4th of February, from 6pm to 9pm.
