Alluring trio to play in Milton

An audience appreciating a unique soulful sound in Milton will be treated by listening to the melancholy, ethereal sound of Big Words when the band plays to support its debut album, Nightmares of a Stardom Dream. Local bands often use striking graphic design on advertising material in order to attract an audience.

Big Words line-up consists of Will, Kieren and Teon. The debut album, Nightmares of a Stardom Dream, was released this summer and is featured in the debut tour. Having previously released an EP in 2017, Hollywood, the band garnered international fans with the tracks The Answer and Soul Jam. Unlike other sounds around, the unassuming trio mix hip-hop beats and melody to compose haunting, soulful notes with an emotional depth. Citing influences between them of Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, and Empire of The Sun, amongst others, the boys have struck a chord – CLOUT magazine quotes:

“Big Words have found something unapologetically raw and pure within their unique style.”

triple j claims that Big Words is:

“What happens when you combine the busking heart of Melbourne with a global soul sound.”

Big Words ‘Nightmares of a Stardom Dream’ appears at Warehouse 25, 25 Finchley Street, Milton, QLD 4064 on Friday 11th August from 7pm until midnight. The band will be supported by Pink Matter. Tickets cost from $25.
