A musical group with a female vocalist and a varied repertoire ranging from Australian rock to swing is set to perform in concert at a popular social club in Geebung.
The suburb will soon welcome a live music act based locally in Queensland. Called Rhythms of Jayde, the group combines Maltese percussionist and singer Jayde with a musical trio called Poco Loco. The performers have earned popularity playing shows at free music nights running in taverns and sports clubs, and are considered a staple of both the Brisbane and Gold Coast entertainment scenes.

Music fans attending will get to enjoy a show described by organisers as “great dance tunes”. Playing an eclectic mix of music genres, the group can play classic rock, swing, country and chart hits. While Jayde’s voice has been compared to the sound of Celine Dion, she can also deliver powerhouse vocals like Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes and US soul diva Aretha Franklin.
Rhythms by Jayde will now perform at Geebung RSL in The Cove on Sunday, August 2. The club can be found situated at the corner of Collings Street and Newman Road in Geebung, directly opposite the local Railway Station.
