A major running event with a long history will take place in Brisbane this winter for its 32nd edition.
Runners from Geebung and other city suburbs keen to test their mettle can take part in the EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival later this year.
June will see the historic Queensland running event make a welcome return with its 2024 edition. Held in and around the city, the marathon is renowned as one of the friendliest and oldest events of its kind.
Marathon organisers often enlist the expertise of banner printing services to create largescale signage and advertising for deployment along the route.
The EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival is a three-day event and dates to 1982, but was first opened to the public officially a decade later. The Brisbane Marathon is sometimes described as a “boutique marathon of choice”, which is partly due to the VIP treatment its entrants receive.
It is designed to celebrate fitness and fun, and represents the ultimate test of mental and physical human endurance. A first-class internationally renowned and AIMS World Running certified event, the festival attracts both recreational and elite runners while encouraging the community to get active and enjoy the city.
The Marathon Festival will take place in Brisbane City and the Brisbane area, starting on Sunday, June 2 and ending on Tuesday, June 4.
