Residents of the Riverstone area will be invited to take part in an annual festival in the next couple of months, which is said to be a day full of entertainment and activities suitable for the whole family.
Starting out as what was meant to be a one-off event to bring in the new millennium, the Riverstone Festival is now a yearly occasion. Known for being one of the biggest of its kind in the area, it attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The day is a blend of activities, entertainment, market stalls, rides, community service displays and stage performers. A special highlight of the festival is the street parade, which begins at 11am, and puts a spotlight on the local community groups, car clubs and sponsors to the sounds of a marching band.
Event organisers may make use of poster printing to spread the word of community messages and spirit throughout the event, as well as identify the different groups marching in the parade.
Previous years have had resounding feedback, enjoying a combination of over 80 stall holders, a variety of food and beverages on offer, interactive workshops and an inclusive atmosphere, accompanied by the performance of musicians and dancers.
The festivities this year will take place on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 9am and continuing throughout the day until 3pm. The location is set to be the Mill Street Reserve in Riverstone.
