Shopping centre extensions welcome new tenants
Gladesville, New South Wales shoppers will be spoiled for choice when work on the expansion of Top Ryde shopping centre is completed.
Marketing Manager Michelle Thomas said the expansion was the biggest since the centre opened in 2010, and will include 25 new outlets, including Coles.
She said the space, which hosted a Myer store on level one until last year, will be dedicated to general merchandise and food stores.
Shoppers can look forward to a wide range of new stores, including The Shed, Arthurs Bavarian Bakehouse, Rashays, Bed Bath N’Table, Yoros Seafood, Massage Link, Rose and Co and Sydney Meats, according to Thomas.
Familiar outlets including Top Ryde Newsagency and the Reject Shop will joint Event Cinemas on level one.
Thomas said more than 100 jobs were created following the opening of a new Kmart store in the centre recently, and a further 150 positions will be advertised for staffing at the new Coles supermarket. Both are expected to open later this year.
A spokeswoman for Coles said there will be roles available in everything from the bakery, delicatessen and fresh produce, to customer service and online.
She said sales catalogues will advertise a wide range of fresh food produce, as well as all the favourites from a continental delicatessen, butcher and bakery sections.
Thomas said opening dates of these and more outlets will be announced when available.
