Gladesville area to celebrate Lunar New Year

Gladesville locals are preparing for a popular Lunar New Year celebration to come to the area in February.

Hosted by the City of Ryde Council, this year’s Lunar New Year Festival will celebrate the Year of the Horse. The Horse’s main attributes are said to be independence, confidence, ambition and enthusiasm.

Attendees will be treated to market stalls, amusements and rides, cultural showcases, food trucks, fireworks and a traditional lion high pole performance.

During this year’s festival, Koreatown along Railway Parade will be activated from midday until 5:00 PM, and Eastwood Oval will hold activities and events from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. This initiative is supported by the Open Streets Program of the New South Wales government.

Alongside the Festival, the City of Ryde is also organising a colouring-in competition to celebrate the Year of the Horse, which is open to children aged 3-12 years old.

Exhibitors at community events like this one can make a positive impression with Logo Design. A curated, unique logo helps a business’ signage and marketing products stand out, and ensures that the brand remains memorable even after an event has concluded.

The Lunar New Year Festival will be held on Saturday, 28 February. The festivities will be held in the heart of Eastwood, near Gladesville, and will begin at 12:00 PM. Further event information will be issued nearer to the date on the City of Ryde website.
