An event showcasing handcrafted quilts is headed for a civic building in easy reach of Gladesville this year.
Residents of Gladesville looking to celebrate local artistry won’t need to travel far this winter. A community-led event called the “Hunters Hill Quilt Show” is happening a mile away from the suburb. The three-day event combines an exhibition of handmade quilts with a sale.
Artisan craftspeople who sell the goods they make by hand often count on experienced business card printing services for professional contact cards they can share with new customers at markets and shows.
The exhibition will display around 60 quilts made by group members of the Hunters Hill Quilters and includes a sale of handmade quilts and bush blankets. The show will also have a cafe serving sandwiches, Devonshire teas and homemade slices and cakes. Material Obsession, a local quilt shop, will also have a stall present selling sewing supplies and fabric.
The Hunters Hill Quilt Show will now run at Hunters Hill Town Hall from Friday, August 14 to Sunday August 16. The venue can be found at 2 Alexandra Street in Hunters Hill, and the exhibition is open between 10 am and 4 pm each day.
The cost of admission is $8 per person, and two hand-crafted quilts will be raffled for good causes at the event.
