The village of Pazzano in southern Italy is well represented in the Australian suburb of Brookvale, New South Wales. In fact, the population includes so many of former Pazzano residents that it is often called `Pazzaniedu’, which in the Calabrian dialect means `little Pazzano’. Despite this strong Italian influence, the area’s population, according to the 2011 census, is predominately Australian-born. The economy relied on farming in the early days but, today, the suburb is renowned as a leading industrial area where warehousing and manufacturing are dominant. This includes many signage and printing firms. Locals have also seen a trend towards the development of office space, with a view to attracting new business to the area. When firms set up in a district, there is a flow-on effect to the community, such as the need for Stationery in Brookvale. Printed corporate supplies, ranging from Business Cards to Flyers, are a specialty of the staff here at Minuteman Press.
Brookvale is also the home of popular National Rugby League (NRL) team the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. Its home ground is the Brookvale Oval, which can hold up to 23,000 people. The Oval has the distinction of being the National Rugby League’s second most played-on ground in use today. The first match was played in 1947. Events at the venue, established in 1911, have provided photographers with many images for use on Brochures and Stationery in Brookvale.
