An event that involves a chance to hear answers to questions regarding dementia while offering an opportunity for caregivers to learn new skills is running at a library based in Brookvale this year.
Residents of Brookvale who provide aid and support to loved ones with dementia can attend an upcoming event. Running at a civic hub in the suburb, the joint presentation for the public is simply titled the “Dementia Information Session” and will be given by Carer Gateway and the Northern Beaches Dementia Alliance. It is specifically designed to equip delegates with dementia-friendly skills that help them perform their critical role.
Organisations established to support carers often contact expert brochure printing services for professional literature that includes useful advice and help numbers in an easy to digest format.
Those coming down can pick up new abilities while discovering the range of free services available to help unpaid carers who look after people living with dementia and refreshments will be provided during the event.
The Dementia Information Session will be hosted by Northern Beaches Library Service and will now run at the Warringah Mall Library on Monday, November 9. The civic centre is sited at Shop 650/145 Old Pittwater Road in Brookvale, and the event offers free admission to everyone who wants to participate. The session will begin at 1.30 am and finish at 3.30 pm and advance booking is required to attend.
