Brookvale library to present author

A bestselling writer from Australia will introduce her latest work at a library in Brookvale this year.

Residents with a passion for historical fiction can attend this upcoming event. Successful Australian author Tania Blanchard is unveiling her newest work this spring, and fans will get a chance to purchase a signed copy.

Titled The Paris Prize, the new book from Blanchard follows main character Maddy Rainforth, a grazier on a mission to craft the best Merino wool ever made. Set when haute couture began to rise in Europe after the war, Rainforth embarks on an adventure that takes her from the Great Dividing Range on the Australian coast to the Scottish Highlands in pursuit of the coveted Paris Wool Prize.

Blanchard has numerous bestsellers to her credit that include Letters from Berlin, Suitcase of Dreams, Daughter of Calabria, An Undeniable Voice, The Girl from Munich and A Woman of Courage.

The Paris Prize with Tania Blanchard will now be at Warringah Mall Library on Tuesday, October 13. The library sits on Old Pittwater Road in Brookvale, and the event runs from 2 pm to 3 pm.

The event is hosted by Northern Beaches Library Service and is priced at $5 per person, to include afternoon tea.
