A workshop designed to help attendees make their own chef’s knife will run in Brookvale this summer.
Budding chefs in Brookvale will get a rare opportunity to make a kitchen knife of their own at Nordic Edge in February. The celebrated Sydney hobby hub is hosting an expert-led class called the “Chef Knife Making Workshop” for the price of £549 per person.
Companies offering educational experiences often depend on professional Print shops to design Booklets that explain what is involved, skills taught and the cost of attendance.
The single-day experience will guide guests to craft a high-carbon knife designed especially for chef’s use. Participants require no previous experience to enrol in the workshop. Following along with a professional instructor they will experience forging a chef knife entirely from scratch and how to heat treat the blade.
While the knife blade tempers, a lunch will be held, then workshop attendees will learn how to grind the blade and attach an attractive wooden handle. While waiting for the glue to set everyone taking part will enjoy a drink together before taking home their professionally finished chef’s kitchen knife.
The Chef Knife Making Workshop will take place at Nordic Edge on Sunday, February 23. The learning experience will start at 8 am and ends at 4 pm and the hobby shop can be found at 13 to 15 Mitchell Road in Brookvale.
