Wauwatosa to hold neighborhood get-together

Wauwatosa’s National Night Out is fast approaching, and this community event is set to bring the fun for all ages.

The activity, which will be on offer in early August, will bring neighbors together with local law enforcement professionals and other first responders. It will explore how community engagement can be an important piece of public safety, and everyone is encouraged to get involved.

The area will be taking part in the larger National Night Out initiative held in Hart Park early next month. The event will include a flashlight walk, and everyone who Signs up for this will receive a T-shirt and other Corporate Gifts to thank them. These will be available for pickup ahead of time at the Wauwatosa Police Department, or can be collected at the event itself.

Along with the walk, participants will be treated to live music, which will be part of the Tosa’s Night Out program. There will be displays set up that showcase the community’s police, fire, and ambulance services. Attendees will be encouraged to meet their neighbors and enjoy some light refreshments while they do.

Wauwatosa has made plans to hold its National Night out party on Wednesday, August 2 starting at 8:00 pm. Those who would like to access its registration system can do so now on the Lake Country Family Fun website.
