Spring is here, and with its arrival comes construction time in Wauwatosa.
In order to help keep it looking its best, concrete pavers that are eight inches thick will be installed throughout the area, and both landscaping and further road enhancements will be undertaken, with the goal of making the center village plaza a curbless space. The work will be undertaken in a series of three phases throughout the spring, summer, and early autumn.
During the time that the wok is being done, the shops, restaurants and other establishments in the area will still be open for business, and a campaign has been undertaken to make sure the public knows this and will continue to patronize these businesses. Even if a road or thoroughfare is closed to cars and other motorized vehicles, people will still be able to walk or ride their bike in the area so that they can shop, eat, or browse. Mailing services can be put to use in situations like this to let as many people as possible know about the construction and that the area enterprises will still be open.
For those who need to take their car to reach the community, there is plenty of parking available at various lots in the area.
If the construction goes as planned, it should be largely completed by this coming October.
