Wauwatosa set to bowl for a cause

The Milwaukee Bucks will be doing their part to knock down breast cancer at an event planned for Wauwatosa’s Bowlero Lanes.

This year’s Bowl Over Breast Cancer will offer two sessions for participants to choose from, with both morning and afternoon slots available. Those who want to be involved but are not part of a group will be added to a team so that everyone can take part in the fun. There will be an appearance from the Bucks’ mascot, a silent auction, a raffle, treasure tree, and the team’s dancers will also be on hand to perform.

The registration fee fees for the event are $65 or $45 each. This includes the bowling itself as well as shoe rental, a T-shirt, Bucks tickets, and a gift bag. Print companies can produce these sorts of custom items. Along with these, each entry fee will qualify the individual to receive two tickets for the upcoming game against the Memphis Grizzles scheduled for March 17.

Those who participate are also encouraged to do some fundraising on their own. Everyone who collects $100 or more in contributions will have their name entered into a draw for courtside tickets and more.

The proceeds from the day will be used to support the Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation Breast Cancer program. The date for the festivities is February 26, and registration will take place up until March 19. Those who wish to sign up can do so by visiting the Bowl Over Breast Cancer website.
