Wauwatosa invited to local sustainability fair

The Waukesha County Green Team has plans in the works for a special end-of-summer celebration, and Wauwatosa’s small businesses are invited to show their sustainable side.

The organizers of the third Sustainability Fair are spreading the word throughout the area that they are looking for businesses and groups keen to get involved in this community project. It will be hosted at the Retzer Nature Center, and is made possible thanks to the support and effort of a variety of area organizations.

The plans for the fair include an assortment of displays and exhibits that will be focused on sustainability, and presentations and demonstrations are also in the works. The planetarium will be open to the public, and there will be activities for all ages. The goal is to show that making sustainable living choices can be both economical and fun.

The display spaces on offer are all outdoors, measuring 10 by 10 feet each. The exhibitors will be able to hand out promotional Pens and other environmentally friendly swag, and more information about this is available on the event’s listing.

Free to attend for the public, the Sustainability Fair 2021 will be held on August 28, and the final date to submit an application to join the fun is August 15. Anyone who would like to have their company or group’s Logo Design included in the marketing materials for the function will need to submit an application before July 28.
