Wauwatosa gardeners offered online learning opportunity

Wauwatosa’s savvy gardeners know that pruning can lead to increased flower and fruit production, and an upcoming online workshop will help them make their cuts with confidence.

A free virtual session will introduce the principles of pruning, and it will be focused on the species that tend to be grown in South-eastern Wisconsin. It is being offered courtesy of Hoppe Tree Service, and it will be led by a certified arborist.

During the workshop, the learners will find out how pruning can benefit various species of trees and shrubs, and they will also be introduced to various types of equipment, such as anvil and bypass secateurs that can be used to perform the work. Other aspects of caring for these plants will be included, and there will also be a discussion about how to choose the right location to install them. There will be time for the audience to ask questions.

Hosting a web-based learning activity like this is one way a small business can service the local horticultural community. Stationery printers can be called upon to supply promotional Postcards to mail out to area households, letting them know how and when they can take part.

Hoppe Tree Service will be hosting this online workshop on January 12. It will begin at 6:30 pm, and registration can be completed by visiting its online event page.
