A Wauwatosa gathering will offer some of the community’s most valued professionals a tip of the hat in late August.
First Responders Fest is a celebration that will see members of the community come together to celebrate, and first responders will be the guests of honor. Many will be on hand to mix and mingle with the crowd, and the festivities will showcase local musical, dance, and food service talent.
While the attendees enjoy themselves, they will be treated to tunes by Yacht’s Landing and an assortment of the community’s eateries will be on hand to supply the food and drinks. There will be a performance of Irish dance, and a face painter will be on hand as well.
To thank the first responders, they will receive free food at the Lucky Stone Tent, and Cranky Al’s will be offering them a complimentary beverage. They will also go home with a T-shirt that boasts a special graphic design, and between performances, there will be a salute to these everyday heroes. A portion of the proceeds from the day will be used to provide scholarships for those pursuing post-secondary education in the police, paramedic, or firefighting fields.
Wauwatosa will be recognizing its community heroes on Wednesday, August 28. It will run from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Hart Park.
