Wauwatosa area workshop to help make workplaces safe

One of the most important parts of creating a safe workplace is to have knowledgeable employees, and a Wauwatosa area workshop will offer an introduction to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and practices.

A 10-hour General Industry Safety Course will help to create injury-free job sites by giving employees knowledge they need to be proactive when it comes to keeping themselves safe. Everything from ergonomics to fall protection and exit routes will be included, and the organizers explained that the training will be suitable for owners, supervisors, and employees alike.

To help get both of the two days of learning off to a good start, a continental breakfast is included in the registration fee. The attendees will need to be on site for the entire program, and measures will be put into place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. While all companies are welcome to get involved, they are asked to limit the number of attendees to four so that as many workplaces as possible will be able to take part.

Continuing education credits (CEU) may be available for those who successfully complete the training, and certification cards will be supplied to each. Companies that prepare Letterheads and their documents will be able to prepare items like these.

Benefit Services Group in Pewaukee has made arrangements to offer this course beginning on December 10. Both social distancing and masks are required for all the registrants.
