Wauwatosa area festival to offer end-of-summer fun

Wauwatosa root beer fans are invited to celebrate the late summer with a festival all about this foamy treat.

While it may have stated out as a medicinal beverage, over time, root beer has become a drink many people enjoy for its taste. As Glendale bills itself as being “The Root Beer Capital of the Universe”, those who attend the festivities can count on being able to enjoy plenty of fun, and it has lots to offer the entire family.

During the celebration, local food service providers will be serving up a selection of root beer themed dishes, and these will include desserts, beverages and even main courses. Live music will showcase some of the area’s top talent, and all-ages shows, celebrity meet and greets, and even a petting zoo will round out the festivities.

This community gathering has been made possible through support from Welcome to Glendale, and is a chance to visit the community and see all it has to offer. This year’s Root Beer Bash has been scheduled for August 22, and everyone is welcome. Richard E. Maslowski Community Park will serve as the venue for this late summer celebration.
