Time for tea near Wauwatosa

A tradition from “across the pond” will soon find a new home near Wauwatosa.

Three Lions Pub in Milwaukee will be serving a traditional high tea service, and everyone is welcome to enjoy one of these late afternoon meals.

While many people may assume an afternoon high tea is a formal affair, this event will be anything but. It will be styled after the typical tea that would have been served to the average working person, and it will include meat pies and other hearty fare.

These events will not be formal, but reservations are required. Guests can make their selection from the Twinings tea choices that will be presented to them upon their arrival, and the menu will include an assortment of sweet and savory dishes. Tickets can be purchased singly, in pairs, or for groups of up to six people, and each diner will be invited to select one savory item, one sweet, and also one sandwich. The ticket price is $25 per person.

Unlike a formal high tea, this will be a casual event, and keeping one’s pinky up while they sip their tea is optional. Suitable decor can add to the experience of an event like this, and area printing services providers will be able to offer lots of ideas that can help to make it a success.

The Three Lions Pub will be hosting this afternoon event on April 20. It is located in Milwaukee at 4515 North Oakland Avenue.
