Tasty fundraiser to showcase talents of Wauwatosa area chefs

Kennedy’s disease is a neuromuscular condition that affects mostly males. This summer, The Cooperage Milwaukee will strike back by hosting a fundraiser for those living with this illness, and its organizers hope it will be as tasty as it is fun.

A group of chefs from the local area will be showing off their skills in the ‘DimSum Give Some’ event. Along with this, there will be a curated selection of craftspeople displaying their wares, an even-split draw, and other activities. Tickets can be purchased online, and while they may be available at the door, if they sell out ahead of time, those who wait may miss out.

The lineup of chefs who will be contributing their talents to this Wauwatosa area fundraiser currently sits at 23, and more may be added to the list. Dan Jacobs and Dan Van Rite who helped get the first ‘Dim Sum Give Sum’ event up and running will be among the group. For Chef Jacobs, the function may be especially important, as he was diagnosed with Kennedy’s Disease several years ago.

While an occasion like this may serve as a fundraiser, it can also act as an awareness raising event. Ensuring that there are lots of pamphlets and other items from brochure printing companies on hand will help the guests to find out more about the cause they are supporting.

The Cooperage Milwaukee has set aside the afternoon of June 23 for this function. Advance tickets are $45 each.
