It has been three years since a proposal was made to build apartments near Wauwatosa’s Eschweiler buildings, and the first of them is now open.
The Echelon Apartments were developed by the Mandel group, Inc. When they are all complete, there will be a complex of six buildings, each with three stories, located east of Highway 45 in Wisconsin-Milwaukee Innovation Campus.
The first new residents began moving in to their new homes on October 1, and the rest will do so in a series of phases set to be complete by this coming January. There are a total of 188 units that will be available for renting. A company that prepares business Forms will be able to provide rental agreement forms and any other documents that will be needed by the rental agents.
Located near the apartments is a group of historic buildings that were built in the early part of the 20th Century. The one that formerly was used as a school administration building is being renovated for use as a leasing office, theater room, fitness center, and community room for those who live in the complex.
Work will also be undertaken to construct walled gardens from the foundations of two of the other buildings that have fallen into disrepair. One of these will serve as a dog park and will include dog wash facilities. There is also a section of land that has been preserved as a habitat for monarch butterflies.Get a Free Quote for Forms
