Young people in Green Bay with an interest in STEM fields are getting ready for the Einstein Science Expo.
The large event brings together local businesses and community organizations to celebrate science and encourage a little friendly competition.
The expo itself is made up of 10x10 foot booths where local businesses and nonprofit groups can showcase the role science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) plays in their business or in the world at large. Visitors can practice making silly putty, stand in front of a green screen, and make a laser light show at the booths. Sponsorships are also available for groups who simply want to add their Logo Design to the Flyers.
Additionally, science shows will be held on the main stage every hour.
The Ameriprise Science Fair will also take place during the expo, although the registration deadline for this is today, January 6. A total of science projects from each school in the Green Bay area will be allowed to compete, presenting their experiment and findings before a panel of judges. Winning entrants from sixth to eighth grade will be awarded a scholarship.
The Einstein Science Expo will take place on February 4 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Shopko Hall, located at 1901 S. Oneida St. Admission is $4 for every person three and up. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
