The Gold Ribbin' BBQ Fest of Greater Green Bay is taking place in just a few weeks, and is a sanctioned event by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
On the night before the festival begins, there will be a special Chef's Table event, which is mainly aimed at business leaders in the community. There is a limit of 300 guests and tickets cost $600 for a table of eight. Guests will enjoy craft beer, wine, and great barbecued food. There will also be music, a live auction, and a question and answer session with alumni of the Green Bay Packers.
The festival promises a full day of activities that will likely appeal to the entire family. There is set to be a bean bag toss tournament, pie and wing eating contests, children's games, and a raffle. The raffle's grand prize will be Packers season tickets, while tickets cost $20 each or $100 for six.
The Barbecue contest offers $15,000 in cash and prizes to teams. The winner gets an entry into the American Royal Invitational in Kansas City.
