Residents in Green Bay and the rest of Brown County are getting ready to host the 70th Alice in Dairyland Finals. The event features dinners, presentations, and more in hopes of finding Wisconsin’s next agricultural ambassador.
The event is hosted in a different county in Wisconsin every year, chosen at random. It has been 30 years since the last time that Brown County was selected as the host. As such, the county decided to put its best foot forward and host the finals at the famous Lambeau Field, which will include a peek inside the field and its history, as well as a historical display of past Alices.
Alice in Dairyland has always functioned as a professional public relations and communications position, providing marketing services that connect the agricultural industry of Wisconsin with the people it serves. That being the case, this is no beauty contest.
A dinner will be served alongside a discussion panel hosted by top industry representatives. Contestants will give a presentation on the theme ‘Agriculture Unites Us All’ as the grand finale of the selection process. After the winner is selected, a dessert social with live music will be held.
The 70th Alice in Dairyland Finals will be held on May 13 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Lambeau Field, located at 2600 Larsen Rd. Tickets are $30 for the full event or $15 for the finale only. Anyone looking for more information should visit the website.
