Green Bay plans pancakes and parade for holidays

To ring in the beginning of the holiday season, downtown Green Bay is getting ready for two great events. Pancakes with Paw Patrol and the 33rd Annual Prevea Green Bay Holiday Parade are aimed at bringing a dose of traditional holiday cheer to residents in the area.

The characters of the popular Canadian animated series Paw Patrol will be on hand at one of two locations for breakfast: Black and Tan or backstage at the Meyer. A traditional pancake breakfast with maple syrup, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes will be served. Afterwards visitors can decorate cookies or take a complimentary photo with one of the Paw Patrol. After breakfast is over, visitors will be treated to VIP seating for the Holiday Parade.

The parade will run through the heart of downtown, making a near loop around Jefferson St., Cherry St., and Washington St. The theme of the procession is Winter Wonderland, and is expected to have floats and marching bands along with city police and firefighters. Parade slots are still open for community organizations and businesses that are interested, or it’s also possible for a business to sponsor another float, adding their name and Logo Design to it.

The Pancakes with Paw Patrol will be held on November 19 from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. Tickets to the breakfast are $15 a person and the parade is free. Anyone interested in more info should visit the website.
