Green Bay gets ready for Santa at zoo

The residents of Green Bay, Wisconsin are getting ready to stuff their stockings with memories at the New Zoo and Adventure Park Breakfast with Santa and Holiday Fest.

The event will combine animals, adventures, and a large breakfast intended to fill bellies and add a touch of holiday magic with a certain jolly visitor.

The morning begins with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, which will be attended by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Santa’s Helper. A series of animal encounters and free activities for kids and families will take full advantage of the more cuddly residents at the zoo. Horse-drawn carriage rides will take visitors on a ride through the forest, and the Adventure Park will also have zipline rides for the visitors who are seeking a little more thrill from the festivities.

The event is sponsored by the New Zoo, which is an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited wildlife facility that seeks to provide a natural adventure to promote recreation, education, and conservation through encounters with live animals. The company is one of the few AZA zoos to not draw any money from public tax support.

The New Zoo and Adventure Park Breakfast with Santa and Holiday Fest will be held at 4378 Reforestation Road on December 12 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Breakfast costs $6 for adults and $4 for children and ends at 12:00 pm Carriage rides last from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and cost $2 per person. All costs are in addition to regular park admission.
